The release date of Shadowhunters Season 2 is confirmed for January 2, 2017. The show will premiere at 8:00 PM EST on Freeform, followed by the new series, Beyond.

The cast and crew of Shadowhunters attended New York Comic-Con last weekend for a panel and autograph appearance. Fans who attended the panel saw the first look at the Season 2 trailer, as well as exclusive clips from the upcoming season.
The nearly nine month wait for Season 2 has made fans restless. Some are coping for the January release by endlessly watching the season trailer, while others are rewatching Season 1.
