Show Notes

This one’s for you, Wavers!

SPOILER WARNING: This episode contains spoilers for The 5th Wave and The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey, as well as some allusions to a major spoiler in Allegiant by Veronica Roth.

The 5th Wave movie trailer was leaked a couple of days ago and now everybody’s seen it… Except for those of us in this episode. A few days before the leak, we got together to talk about the movie trailer and what we hoped to see in it. But fear not! This entire episode didn’t go to waste! We also sat down and talked about our first impressions from when we read The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey. We also take some time to share our thoughts about The Infinite Sea and some of our predictions for the final book, The Last Star.

This is a short episode but it’s jammed pack full of stuff for the Wavers!

What to expect in this episode:

  • Saul forgot to hit record and lost the first several minutes of the show… (sorry).
  • We all agree that Cassie is the bomb.
  • We have some mixed feelings about The Infinite Sea.
  • What did Vosch mean when he was talking to Ringer?
  • Ariana and Eleanor think that a fan favorite is doomed to die in The Last Star.
  • Saul hopes another fan favorite dies.
  • Now that the trailer is out, you’ll notice that our predictions about The 5th Wave movie trailer are kind of accurate…
  • Has Sony made a mistake by waiting too long to share things from the movie?
  • Will The Infinite Sea ever see the big screen?
  • Can The 5th Wave movie reach Hunger Games heights?
  • Speaking of Hunger Games, we try to convince Eleanor to give the movies another chance.
