Do you love Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments book series? Are you interested in gaining journalistic writing experience? Are you wanting to make friends with a group of people who have the same interests as you?

7thPage.com is looking to expand its network. We currently have two websites and a podcast in our network. Those include FactionHub.net (which focuses on Divergent), The 5th Wave Network (focusing on The Fifth Wave), and Bookmarked (A YA Book podcast).

With the announcement of the ‘Shadowhunters’ television series, we feel that Cassandra Clare’s Mortal Instruments fandom still has a ton of life in it! Despite the book series being over, we imagine that there will be a lot of buzz around this new television show. As such, we wish to add a Mortal Instruments fan site to our network.

[divider]Who are we looking for?[/divider]

We are looking for 4-6 news writers to join our team and help launch our new website. These news writers will focus specifically on The Mortal Instruments books (including Infernal Devices and other spin-off series), the ‘Shadowhunters’ television show, and anything else that involves Cassandra Clare. This is a volunteer position and is not paid (nobody here at 7th Page is paid–we write because we have a passion for books!)

We are looking for writers who…

  • Have read or are currently reading The Mortal Instruments book series (preferably all of it).
  • Consider themselves fans of TMI (Calling all shadowhunters!)
  • Demonstrate a control of the English language (few spelling, syntax, and grammatical errors).
  • Can contribute 1-3 news posts a week.

Past experience is NOT required, although it’s always a plus. We’re especially interested in those who have experience with WordPress (but again, this is not a requirement).

You must be 15 years old or older to apply. Minors will have to get the permission from their parents before being accepted onto the team.

[divider]Why join the 7th Page Team?[/divider]

7th Page is quickly growing out of its infancy. We get a continuous flow of readers every month, and it’s always rising! Last month, the network received well over 17,000 unique visitors. When you write for 7th Page, your writing will be seen by many people who have the same interests as you!

While not a paid position, this is a great opportunity to gain experience with online journalism. Writing for a website always looks great on a resume!

Lastly, and most importantly, you’ll make friends! Our team is made up of people from around the world, yet we’re all brought together by the same passion: books!
