Netflix unveiled a clip from the upcoming ‘Shadow and Bone’ series which features Alina Starkov — the Sun Summoner — harnessing her light powers in the palm of her hand. A familiar character (Baghra!) commands Alina to “Bring the light … again!”

Watch it here:

Leigh Bardugo reacted to the clip by tweeting, “Baghra does not mess around.”

In the books, Baghra serves as a teacher to Alina. She’s tough but it’s apparent from the moment you meet her that she has a layered history and that there’s a lot more to her beyond her strict nature. Baghra is played by Zoë Wanamaker, who portrayed Madam Hooch in ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.’

It’s a small dose of the show, but it’s still neat to see such an interesting character come to life, if even for a second or two.

‘Shadow and Bone’ releases April 23.
