The popular and recent YA novel, These Broken Stars, by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooners is heading to your television screen!
It was announced today that the YA space opera will be adapted for the small screen, the news coming only a month after the book’s publication. Eric Balfour (an actor of Syfy’s Haven) is one of four producers.
“I thought it was a cool concept, and I asked to read the book,” said Balfour to Publisher’s Weekly. “I wanted it to be as good as I thought it could be, and fortunately it was much better and bigger than I could have imagined. I was sucked in from the very first scene, and I couldn’t believe how much I fell in love with these characters.”
The show still hasn’t been picked up by any network. The adaption is still in its early stages so there’s obviously still a lot to be discussed.
These Broken Stars has gained a lot of attention among YA Book lovers since before its release, so this is welcomed news for many fans.
