It’s finally here. Against all odds.
If you were in elementary school in the late 90’s and early 2000’s, you’ll know who Artemis Fowl is — the young criminal mastermind who dabbles in fairy magic.
Eoin Colfer’s Artemis Fowl novels were massive successes, really only eclipsed by the hype of the Harry Potter books at the time. Naturally, there were talks and promises of a movie, but those promises never came to fruition. Until now.
Disney has released the teaser trailer to their upcoming Artemis Fowl movie. It’s the first glimpse at a world fans have waited over a decade to see on screen.
CHECK IT OUT:
It’s hard to say if the Kenneth Branagh-directed film will stand on its own. Based on the trailer, the movie looks like the cross of an epic sci-fi and a Disney Channel Original Movie.
Let’s hope it captures some of the book’s magic!
The movie is due in cinemas August 9, 2019.
