Rejoice, fans of Alexandra Bracken’s The Darkest Minds Series, rejoice! Earlier today, Alex made an exciting announcement; a second eBook novella will be released next week to bridge the gap between Never Fade and In The Afterlight. The novella, Sparks Rise, will be the second novella in the series by the Bestselling author, and will center around Sam, a character fans will remember from the first book in the series.
While many fans had expected any future novella stemming from the popular series to focus on the series’ main villain, Clancy Gray, Bracken spoke on her tumblr of
how every time she had considered telling a story of Clancy’s time at Thurmond, her mind kept reverting back to Sam — an important character from the beginning of the first book, and friend of Ruby’s at Thurmond.
