Seeing as today marks the seven-year anniversary since the Deathly Hallows release, we figured it would only be appropriate to share a Harry Potter-themed Hufflefind today!
Yes, you read the title correctly. A Harry Potter vs Twilight dance off. It was only a year or two after the publication of Deathly Hallows when the Twilight frenzy took off. It was a dark time in the literary world which was still suffering from PPD (Post Potter Depression). It marked an era of supernatural YA titles, black covers, and a never ending buffet of shirtless guys.
All jokes aside, Twilight was among the early catalysts that helped YA books emerge as one of the leading players in modern literature. It also brought forth a lot of frustration amongst readers, especially those in the Potter fandom. Being crowned “the next Harry Potter” is something that sparks a lot of debate.
