The Hollywood Reporter just released some interesting news regarding the upcoming film adaption of ‘Insurgent,’ the second installment in the Divergent film trilogy, based off the book with the same name.
With Neil Burger not returning for the second Divergent film, producers are still looking for the next director to take the helm. But until then, they’ve at least found the man to adapt Insurgent for the big screen.
Summit has reportedly hired Akiva Goldsman to pen the script for ‘Insurgent.’ Goldsman has an impressive resume filled with films like ‘Beautiful Minds,’ ‘I Am Legend,’ and ‘DaVinci Code.’ This is a guy who has a history of adapting books for the big screen.
