‘Divergent’, the film based on the book of the same name, is expected to rake in 50 million dollars in the box office opening weekend. But recent sales are suggesting that it might do even better.

Tickets went on sale this last Tuesday. ‘Divergent’s’ first-day sales have topped the first-day sales of ‘Twilight’ according to Fandango. Within the first day, half of Fandango’s tickets were already sold!

Dave Karger, Chief Correspondent for Fandango, says, “Its first-day ticket sales are showing all the signs of a blockbuster in the making. Veronica Roth’s gripping story combined with effective marketing have resulted in a movie with strong want-to-see sentiment among its core audience.”

This is definitely exciting news for initiates! Have you already bought your tickets?

Thanks, Box Office.
