Yesterday we reported that Lionsgate had cast Suki Waterhouse and Jonny Weston in ‘Insurgent’. We knew that Waterhouse would be playing Marlene, but we had no idea who Weston would be playing. Well, we now know. The official Divergent Twitter outlet has announced that Jonny Weston will be playing Edgar.

But you ask, who is Edgar? I don’t remember Edgar in Insurgent?
As far as we can tell, Edgar isn’t in the books. It sounds like this is a character that was created solely for the films. We have no idea how this character will fit into the story but we’re excited to find out!
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT JONNY WESTON AS EDGAR?
I will not pay to see this movie if they make a love triangle, that is not the point of the book!
I hate love triangles too. I put some thought into this though. so what if Edgar was a good euridite in Caleb’s class and was with them for refuge and then when four yelled at tris for the first time about being stupid she runs off the blow off some steam and runs into Edgar, and they start talking. then Edgar leans in for a kiss and she slaps him and says “what the hell do you think you’re doing!” and he says “I thought you broke up.” “NOOOO!” then she runs away and tells four cuz if he found out from Edgar, not good. well four has trust issues so he says “why did you even talk to him for so damn long!” then they have a fight. blah blah blah plot and when they were in dauntless four ran up to her and said, “please, don’t go.” well she did and she snuck into his room and said “I love you.” and left. plot plot plot then
I had to break this into 2 comments. then when tris sees Caleb she also sees edgar. then he dies sometime later.
