It was a battle of epic proportions.  Fandoms fought against fandoms and some people cried of excitement and stress.  The #VoteTris vs #VoteKatniss war waged on…. and… TRIS WON.

After weeks of tweeting, Initiates came out on top.  Even after the winner was announced, the counter continued to rise as fans celebrated the win.  At the end of the show, Tris won with a final count of 9,578,940.  Shailene Woodley accepted the award for FAVORITE CHARACTER OF 2014.

Of course, this was the biggest event of the night for ‘Divergent’ fans, but there were lots of other great highlights as well!

Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort debuted the first clip from their new movie, ‘The Fault in Our Stars’. WATCH IT over at our parent site, 7th Page.  Fans were excited to finally catch a clip of the highly anticipated movie.  The clip features a scene in which Gus (Ansel) sticks a cigarette in his mouth, explaining that “it’s a metaphor.”

Shailene and Ansel also introduced Twenty One Pilot on stage to perform the song, ‘Car Radio’. For some reason, some people look at Shailene and Ansel and think that they’re babies.

Miles Teller and Shailene Woodley did NOT win Best Kiss for their movie, ‘The Spectacular Now’. 🙁 Who would have known that Eustace Scrubb has the hot lips?

Ellie Goulding and Zedd hit the stage with their singles from ‘Divergent’, ‘Find You’ and ‘Beating Heart’.  Miles Teller was the one to introduce them on stage.

In other news, ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ took home the biggest award of the night, MOVIE OF THE YEAR.

Congratulations, initiates!
