A new poster for the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and where to find them film has been released by the movie’s official twitter account for San Diego Comic Con this weekend.
While the centre of the poster depicts Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, most notably it reveals actors Ezra Miller and Samantha Morton in character for the first time.
Morton (bottom left) will play the villainous Mary Lou, the no-maj leader of the extremist New Salem Philanthropic Society, resolved to expose and destroy wizard-kind. And Miller (bottom right), best known for his portrayal of Patrick in The Perks of Being a Wallflower and as DC’s “The Flash”, will be playing Credence, her troubled and mysterious son.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is the first in a trilogy of films written by Harry Potter author, J.K. Rowling. The films are set in the same Wizarding World we know and love, but many years before Harry’s story, in 1926. The film follows Newt Scamander, magizoologist, on his visit to New York City. Trouble arises when the magical beasts he was carrying with him escape and cause havoc.
The movie will be released mid-November.
