After McElderry’s decision to push the release date of ‘Lady Midnight’ back to March 2016, fans of the series have been eagerly awaiting some hint at the design for the cover. Lady Midnight is the first book in Cassandra Clare’s next Shadowhunter Series, The Dark Artifices, which is set in five years after the end of ‘City Of Heavenly Fire’.

Earlier this month, Cassandra Clare told fans to expect a cover release around October this year.

Although October is a few months away, a teaser cover was released earlier this month promoting the cover to take on a style similar to the new repackaging of ‘The Mortal Instruments’ and ‘The Infernal Devices’.

There has been a mixed reaction amongst fans about the repackaging of Shadowhunters Novels; and it is still unknown whether Lady Midnight will also be publishing in covers that stay faithful to the originals.

What are your thoughts on the teaser cover?

"It's never just a book..." Hi, I'm Angus and I live to read. Cassandra Clare is my favourite author but I read just about anything YA. I also enjoy filmmaking. Click here to check out my YouTube account.
