Cassandra Clare has announced that Nicola Correia Damude will play Alec and Isabelle’s mother ‘Maryse Lightwood’ in Shadowhunters.

The show did not announce the casting for Maryse, as to why, Cassandra said this:
It seems there will be more casting news in weeks to come. Are you excited? Who do you think will be cast next?
