Rick Yancey sat down with USA Today to discuss ‘The 5th Wave’ movie. When told that the film was given the green light, he responded saying, “I think that’s a good thing. If it was like a flashing yellow light, that would be bad.” Of course, a green light in film means that the wheels are in motion and the movie is heading into production!
Speaking further of the film, Yancey had the following to say concerning the casting of the film, “There will be casting in the next couple of weeks. Apparently everybody’s just crazy about the script, including the two leads. The scriptwriter actually is Susannah Grant, who wrote Erin Brockovich. I haven’t seen the script yet because I keep waiting for a version that won’t make me cry.”
It sounds like they’ve already found their Cassie! We’re definitely eager to hear more about the casting of the movie. Keep visiting The 5th Wave Network for more information concerning the film’s adaption!
So excited!
I cannot wait for the cast to be announced!! Especially Cassie and Evan! I hope they cast amazing actors/actresses who look the part and play the part phenomenally 🙂
Me neither! Cassie is the one I’m especially curious about. They need someone good for her as she’s the lead. I’m kinda hoping it’ll be an unknown…
I don’t really care if it’s a widely known or little known actress as long as she is a phenomenal actress who embodies Cassie’s character really well. Can’t wait any longer 🙂 :0
