The 11th annual Florida Heritage Awards were held recently in Tallahassee and The 5th Wave was honored with an award.

According to North West Florida Daily NewsThe 5th Wave was given the Florida Book Award in the Young Adult category.

It’s unknown if Ricky Yancey, a native of Florida, was present for the event.  Either way, it’s exciting to see the book get recognition!
