Sony announced that ‘The 5th Wave’, the adaption of Rick Yancey’s book of the same name, will be released July 29, 2016. The announcement was made via Twitter Monday morning.
This is news that we’re glad to hear, although many agree that it’s a long wait. With that said, we speculate that filming will take place come late this year/early next year. The majority of 2015 will probably be spent on post-production as well as marketing.
If you ask me, 2015 will be the year to be excited for. Expect movie stills, movie posters, trailers, and interviews to be released throughout next year.
It’s a long wait, but we have faith that it will be worth it!
