Maze Runner fans, first pictures of The Scorch Trials movie have arrived! While there is still a few months to go before the movie premieres on September 18, but hopefully these pictures, starring Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Ki Hong Lee, courtesy of ew.com will be tiding over for now.
The sequel takes place immediately after the gladers leave The Maze, only to find out that the world outside is scorched!
“The first movie was the mystery of ‘Where are we and what is this place? And can we get out?’ But the second movie is about the repercussions of getting out and the discovery of what the world is actually like,” says producer Wyck Godfrey.
There are new faces mostly women, including ‘Insurgent’s’ Rosa Salazar, who plays Brenda, who is part of a group living in ‘The Scorch’.
They encounter Cranks, who Wes Ball, the director of the movie says…“We don’t want to call them zombies, but they fit into that category,” “They’re not undead, but they are rage-filled.”

The scene with the hanging bodies is probably the one I remember best from Scorch Trials. Very excited for this movie. 🙂
