An Ember in the Ashes series gets the deluxe set treatment

Tahir’s upcoming ‘A Sky Beyond the Storm’ will be included in the set.

Sabaa Tahir’s Ember in the Ashes series will be re-released as a deluxe set, complete with new covers and edges.

Tahir announced Friday that the books were being fit with a new look designed by UK-based subscription service FairyLoot. The service ships YA fantasy novels to its subscribers every month, though the books will not be part of the monthly subscription.

“An absolute honor to be working with @FairyLoot to do special editions of the EMBER quartet,” Tahir said in a Twitter post. “I cannot emphasize enough how much care the @fairyloot team put into this!”

The books will feature the following neat features for collectors:

  • Newly designed book covers featuring foil details
  • Beautifully designed stencil-sprayed edges
  • A foil art print will also be included with each set
  • The books will be signed by Tahir

The set will go for £85 (not including shipping) and FairyLoot subscribers will be given early access to order, according to an Instagram post from the subscription service. Remaining sets will be made available to the public days later.

“This set has been many months in the making and we have ordered the maximum number of books possible,” FairyLoot said in its Instagram post. “We are so grateful that Sabaa is signing them all (yes, all four books in each set!). This is a limited edition set and once they are gone we won’t be able to get any more.”

International shipping is available, according to a comment left by FairyLoot.

The Ember in the Ashes Deluxe Set will be shipped to customers Feb. 2021 with orders opening Nov. 10.

Tahir’s fourth and final book in the Ember in the Ashes series, A Sky Beyond the Storm, will be released on Dec. 1. It will be included in the set.
