Veronica Roth has been making the rounds lately as she continues promotion for ‘Insurgent’. She recently opened up about her new series that she’s writing. But now, in a new interview with Vulture, Roth shares some of her thoughts on how filmmakers plan to split Allegiant into two movies.

One of the natural questions is, “Where will ‘Allegiant’ be split?” Veronica Roth doesn’t seem to be too sure herself.

I don’t know. For me, it’s one story, because if it hadn’t been, I would have split it. [Laughs.] It does seem to me that Allegiant has two major arcs, dealing with the aftermath of Insurgent inside the city, and what happens once they go outside. There are a couple places where they could split it, but I’m not exactly sure how they will do it at this point. I’m curious to see how it goes!

It sounds like it’ll be a tough call! Interestingly, she seems to express what a lot of fans are feeling about Allegiant and other books that are split into two films: it’s one story. We’re anxious to see how filmmakers plan to split the story when they adapt it to film.

‘Insurgent’ is currently in theaters.
