‘Percy Jackson’ writer’s room assembles on Annabeth’s birthday

It’s happening!

The Percy Jackson adaptation continues progressing!

Becky Riordan, Rick Riordan’s wife, posted on Twitter with a tweet commemorating the start of the writing room process for ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians,’ the adaptation being done for Disney Plus. Riordan noted that it was especially important because they were kicking the writing off on Annabeth Chase’s birthday (July 12) — the lead female character of the Percy Jackson series.

Riordan also revealed that she received an email in honor of the event from Joe Tracz, who’s part of the writing team. Joe is known among fans for his work on ‘The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical.‘ Tracz has also worked on book adaptations like ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ and ‘Dash and Lily.’

She followed up that more news is to come later this week. Check out the announcement below.

I read, fangirl and sing a lot. Harry Potter is my absolute favorite.
