Christopher Paolini, the author of the popular Inheritance Cycle, has been dropping hints about his next project which looks to be in the realm of science fiction.
This would be the first book Paolini has written since Inheritance, the fourth and final book in his Eragon novels. Inheritance was published in 2011.
Paolini recently changed his Twitter location to 61 Cygni A, an actual location in our world universe. 61 Cygni A is a star system in the constellation of Cygnus. In the past, astronomers believed this to be the home to a massive planet, although that theory is now mostly considered false.
Paolini has also shared images and clues about his newest project on his Facebook and Twitter pages. Currently, the cover image of his Twitter account is that of a spacecraft about to traverse through a belt of asteroids. We can tell that he’s got space on his mind!
The Inheritance Cycle, which Paolini infamously began writing as a teenager, was popular among young readers during the last decade. At this time, Paolini hasn’t released anything from outside his world of Alagaësia, so it should be interesting to see what he has up his sleeve.
