This morning was full of surprises for The Hunger Games fandom. Early this morning a new promotional trailer for Mockingjay Part 2 titled “For Prim” was released by Lionsgate and premiered on Good Morning America. The 2 and a half minute trailer recaps the journey that Katniss (played by Jennifer Lawrence) took for her younger sister, Prim (played by Willow Shields) and the consequences that followed.
The trailer consists of clips between Katniss and Prim from the previous three films, from Katniss comforting Prim about her nightmare and giving her the Mockingjay pin to the famous “I volunteer as tribute!” scene to Prim helping Katniss realize her importance to the rebels. The trailer comes to an emotional end with Katniss and Prim hugging and saying “I love you” to each other.
This November, her sacrifice is the ultimate tribute.
