After roughly two years, fans are finally getting their first glimpse at the finale of the Maze Runner film trilogy.

The ‘Maze Runner: Death Cure’ trailer hit the internet Sunday night. Check it out below:

The second Maze Runner film, ‘Scorch Trial’s’ came out in 2015. ‘Death Cure’, which was always expected to be the final film in the movie franchise, was slated to come out February of 2017. The movie was pushed back after a dangerous stunt went wrong on set, hospitalizing lead actor Dylan O’Brien. It looks like we’ll finally be able to see it in theaters early next year.

While everyone is no doubt happy about Dylan’s recovery and excited to finally catch a first look at the movie, it’s worth noting that the movie trailer makes the film look drastically different from James Dashner’s original novel. Although this doesn’t come as much of a surprise — ‘Scorch Trials’ was drastically changed from the source material. In fact, it sits right up there with ‘Allegiant’ when it comes to book-to-movie changes.

Regardless, it looks like the movie will be exciting! Expect to see ‘Death Cure’ in theaters on January 26, 2018.
